IDE (Innovation, Design and Engineering) Series is a national technology and engineering competition event. The aim of the competition is to challenge students on problem solving across domains such as electronics, programming, and mechanical design.

There is a total of 7 different competition events in 2023, each event contains an unknown surprise mission or challenge, which will be revealed at the start of the competition. These challenges vary from year to year, but the emphasis on innovativeness, design element and engineering remains at the heart of the competition.

IDE Series started in 2011 with IDE Challenge with a total of 11 secondary school teams. Since then, the IDE Series competition event has introduced new competition events including:

  • IDE Maker
  • IDE Sprint
  • IDE Sumobot
  • IDE Code Builder
  • IDE Code Hacker
